Your Movement & Meditation Mentor
I’m sure you have heard about the mind-body connection, but what about the body-mind connection? I specialize in working with the physical body to help the body heal itself. Emotions and physical trauma and be held in the body. By working with the body, mental and emotional health can be improved. Healing is a journey. I would like to share my journey with you and help you improve your quality of life and help you be at peace.
My Journey with wellness began with yoga and meditation began in 2004. I was battling severe chronic fatigue and multiple joint dislocations. I was eventually diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (a connective tissue disorder that causes lax ligaments, heart problems, and vascular issues)… and Masthenia Gravis (a chronic neuromuscular autoimmune disease that causes muscle weakness). I attended my first ever Yoga class at a studio in McMinnville, Oregon, during shavasana, I experienced a blissful peace and instantly connected to the practice. I started going to yoga and meditation regularly and it helped me so much it inspired me to want to teach and help others.
Since then, I have trained in the many forms of Hatha Yoga, including Iyengar, Vinyasa, Anusara, and Ashtanga. My training includes over 300 hours of Yoga Alliance Teacher Trainings.
In addition, I am a student of Buddhism and I am currently studying Zen. I am also studying somatics, another mind-body healing modality. I bring 16 years experience of my healing journey to share with you.
